Well we already know Topher loves the pool, but we got our first taste of how he feels about the hose. I hope you all enjoy these photos as much as we do. Click on a photo to get the large file in case you want to print it out.

Distribution of Overbey Families in the US in 1840

I don't know how many of you check out ancestry.com (http://www.ancestry.com/) but it has some pretty cool tools. I came across this one that tells you how many families in the US had a particular last name in 1840, 1880 & 1920. Here is the link for the Overbey last name in 1840 http://www.ancestry.com/learn/facts/fact.aspx?&fid=7&ln=Overbey&fn=&yr=1840 Check it out with your last name.

I Still Love My Suns!!!

Another season and another season ending loss. I love the Suns more than any team on this earth (maybe my CSUF Titans would give them a run for their money). I really thought they would pull it off this year, but those damn Spurs got in the way AGAIN!!! I know there will always be talk of an "asterisk" on this series because of that stupid foul by Horry at the end of game 4 but that does me no good right now because on Sunday I have to watch game 1 of the Spurs/Jazz series and not game 7 of one of the most exciting series I have seen since the Lakers/Celtics series of the 80's.

I know we might be running out of time as Steve creeps into his mid 30s but I still have hope. Hell, I was a California/Anaheim/LA Angels fan for years and had all my wishes come true in that magical series against the SF Giants so I have to keep believing. I must say that even if you don't like the Suns, you have to like the way they play basketball. A prime example is this clip from last night's game when it seemed like Steve had eyes in the back of his head. When Steve retires, I think it is going to be a while before we see plays like this again.

I am still a huge fan, I'm just a little disappointed because I really like to watch these guys play and I know I will have to wait a while to see them again. I'll give the Spurs the respect they deserve because they are a great team and they play incredible defense. It doesn't mean I have to like Horry or Ginobili, but I do have to tip my hat to them.

I guess this does mean one thing, we are that much closer to the start of the NFL season. I really hope that JaMarcus Russell is the real deal. I need a little Raider/Super Bowl love in my life.

Well here's wishing all the Suns a safe and sane summer. We'll get em next year. I think I've heard myself say that before.

Jennifer's going to Virginia for Horse Competition

So Jennifer is on her way to the MFHA Centennial Field Hunter Championship to be held Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia. She gets to go on account of her top four finish in the MFHA Centennial Field Hunter District Qualifier (click link to PDF) http://www.mfha.com/centennial/results/district_qualifiers/CFH%20Results%20Pacific%20District.pdf

We are all so proud of her. Her horse Juniper will be leaving Aptos, CA this Sunday, May 20th on her long trek to Virginia (thanks to Ryan Brown and family). Jeni, Keith & Mindi (her Dad & Mom) will be flying to Virginia on Thursday, May 24 so they can have two days before the competition. Unfortunately Topher and I will be unable to go. We will be with her in spirit. Everybody please wish Jeni the best of luck in this great competition.

Overbey Blogs Take Over The World

Carol Overbey, my sister-in-law, just informed me that she has started a blog for the Virginia Overbey's. You can access it at http://vaoverbey.blogspot.com. It will be great to keep up on everyone as I know we are all very busy in life. Way to go Carol!!!

Our Son Topher

Okay, so here is my first post on our new family blog. I have to drop one of our newest photos of Topher in here. I know I'm a little biased but man is he cute. He is coming up on the big "2" and his personality is just blossoming. I never thought I could love someone as much as JB, but Topher is giving her a run for her money. JK JB.
